Recycle Used Batteries

Unipower will, at no cost to its customers, properly recycle/dispose of our customer’s discarded batteries. Unipower is licensed by the required governmental agencies to handle batteries for recycling/disposal.

Follow the steps below to recycle your used batteries:

Step 1
Separate batteries by type (lead-acid, NiCad, alkaline, etc).
Step 2
Pack in boxes by type. Limit weight per box to 35 – 40 pounds each.
Step 3
Make sure the battery terminals are protected from shorting.
Step 4
Obtain an RGA (return goods authorization) number using the link on this page.
Step 5
Ship the best way (pre-paid) to:

Unipower Corp
1157 Valley Park Drive, Suite 150
Shakopee, MN 55379
ATTN: RGA #

Lead acid batteries may be disposed of locally at any salvage facility that handles automotive batteries. This would save the expense of shipping lead acid batteries to Unipower.
