Unipower is committed to the safe recycling or disposal of all of the products we manufacture. Let our licensed and trained technicians ensure that your used batteries are handled in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Recycle Used Batteries
Unipower will, at no cost to its customers, properly recycle/dispose of our customer’s discarded batteries. Unipower is licensed by the required governmental agencies to handle batteries for recycling/disposal.
Follow the steps below to recycle your used batteries:
Step 1
Separate batteries by type (lead-acid, NiCad, alkaline, etc).
Step 2
Pack in boxes by type. Limit weight per box to 35 – 40 pounds each.
Step 3
Make sure the battery terminals are protected from shorting.
Step 4
Obtain an RGA (return goods authorization) number using the link on this page.
Step 5
Ship the best way (pre-paid) to:

Lead acid batteries may be disposed of locally at any salvage facility that handles automotive batteries. This would save the expense of shipping lead acid batteries to Unipower.
